The 7th meeting of CBC and the first one after the summer break saw more than 40 members and guests in attendance.

The opening speech was held by His Excellency Alexandr Sporys, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the UAE, who updated all participants on news from his office in Abu Dhabi. CBC President, Pavel Foubik, introduced new partnerships that CBC has just closed. Our newest partner is Noor Bank whose representatives introduced their products to CBC members.

‘CBC also pursues intensive negotiations with Emirates Airline whose outcome will be released soon,’ Foubik informed.

The next block was dedicated to EXPO2015 in Milan where Dubai Chamber sent its official delegation and CBC took part in it!

We kept riding the Expo wave with information on Expo 2020 which will take place in Dubai. “The Czech Republic was always very active at Expo exhibitions in the past so we hope that 2020 will not be an exception. We in CBC will do all we can to help the Czech Republic leave the best impression again”, concluded Ondrej Soska, vice-president of CBC.

Dr. Roman Misek as Head of the Czech Trade office in Dubai informed us about continuous support from CZECH TRADE to Czech companies exporting to UAE, especially during Czech Trade participation on BIG FIVE in November 2015 with the largest exhibition area representing the Czech Republic in the history of that venue.

The meeting was summed up by an update on our networking activities with other Business Councils, such as Dutch and Swiss and the newly established Czech and Slovak Association in UAE of which CBC is a partner.

The final words belonged to Pavel Foubik who invited all participants to our next session that will take place on October 26th in Abu Dhabi.
