The Formation of the Czech Business Club in UAE.

On May 28. 2014 representatives of the Czech business community living in the United Arab Emirates gathered at the Emirates Golf Club to form the Czech Business Club together.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic Ing Jaroslav Ludva attended the event. On the program was the election of the president.

The proposed candidates were unanimously elected and thus the first ever president of the Czech Business Club in the United Arab Emirates became JUDr. Pavel Foubik from Brudra company. As a vice president was elected Ing. Jaroslav Ludva, ambassador of the Czech Republic in the SAE, and the secretary of the club became PhDr. Roman Mnisek from the governmental agency Czech Trade. Vit Kodousek was appointed to be the press officer of the CBC.

‘Over the years, I have met Czech entrepreneurs in regular meetings and so I am glad that these activities have finally been given a formal framework,’ said Ing. Jaroslav Ludva. ‘I wish the Czech Business Club success in the future and a number of interesting activities that are just being uncovered.’ About 30 participants of the meeting subsequently congratulated the elected president of the club.

‘Thank you for your trust and I hope that together we can work to make this club a respected entity in the Emirates,’ said JUDr. Pavel Foubik. ‘We are starting to get in touch with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and we hope it will strive to establish the CBC in the business environment.’ JUDr. Foubik also recalled that the main impetus for the opening negotiations with the Dubai Chamber was the activity of Professor Michal Mejstrik, who attended the opening meeting of the CBC and for whose support we can be very grateful.

The meeting of the Czech Business Club at Emirates Gold Club showed that the Czech business community is very active in Emirates and is interested in further deepening of the relations between the various entities. And this is basically what the idea was – to create a platform for mutual cognition of the Czech bystanders and the exchange of experience and knowledge within the framework of economic activities in this country.

The first meeting showed that the club is the right place to make new contacts and gather important information.
